Suhana Gupta is a vibrant young woman from Vashi Naka who grew up facing the harsh realities of life. Her home environment was far from ideal, with her father struggling with unemployment and her mother working tirelessly as a grass cutter to make ends meet. She grew up in abject poverty leading her to face a lot of struggles.
The weight of these circumstances left Suhana feeling lost, unsure of her place in the world and initially harbouring a lot of anger and frustration. Her life took a turning point when she joined Bright Future organisation for a four month training program. Stepping into the program, Suhana was not just there to learn technical skills, she was on a path towards discovering her true potential in the professional world.
The training was more than just an education program in technology. It opened her eyes to issues that deeply impact society such as racism, caste discrimination and gender imbalance. Suhana gained the confidence to voice her opinions and broaden her perspective on these social issues that had often impacted her life in subtle yet powerful ways.
As her journey with Bright Future progressed, Suhana’s transformation became evident. The program helped her to improve her technical skills and taught her to communicate proficiently in English. This skill opened new doors for her. She learned about workplace ethics and value systems along with understanding of discipline, teamwork, soft skills, various softwares, professional ethics and professiothe importance nalism, the qualities she never had the chance to cultivate before.
With each passing day, Suhana grew more confident in her professional abilities, emerging from her shell of self-doubt, low self-confidence and aggression. By the end of the program, she was no longer the same uncertain girl who had walked in earlier. She had transformed into a strong and firm role model for others in her community.
Today, Suhana works as a Sales Associate at Samsung, a job that fulfills her with immense pride. Her accomplishments are a testament to her perseverance, dedication and hardwork and further the life changing support she received from Bright Future. She carries her journey as a reminder that even in the most challenging environments, growth is possible when given the right opportunities, support, skills and training.
